Safety at Moshi Monsters

Last Updated: Jun 14, 2016
At Moshi Monsters we take online safety very seriously and have many systems in place to protect your child.

Our first line of defence is our whitelist. This is a dictionary of permitted words - if a word is not on the whitelist, it cannot be used on Moshi Monsters.

Our monitoring software scans and alerts us to any inappropriate behaviour and our live moderators work around the clock to keep your child safe.

Children can only exchange messages in Moshi Monsters with other children they have accepted as friends. Pinboard messages are only visible if the recipient reads each one and agrees that it can be published publicly. Each post has an 'M' button on the top right corner, which reports the post to a moderator for action. We can view all messages, including deleted ones.

You can prevent future contact from anyone at Moshi Monsters by removing them from your child's Friends Tree. You can also block the account to prevent future friend requests.
